Recreation Center Open for Business

The Park District is offering user cards which will allow access to the indoor playground and walking track during designated hours and specified open gyms for usage card holders.  Please call the athletic hotline or check our monthly calendar for the specified open gym times. The activity cards are issued on a yearly basis and are available for individuals or families.  A daily rate is also available for those wishing to use the facility without purchasing a yearly pass.  ID cards will be issued for each individual and will be swiped upon entering the facility.    Please bring proof of residency when registering for an user card.

Walking Track

No baby strollers are allowed on the track. Please walk at your own risk, programs may be taking place in the gymnasium.

Sunday                        11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Indoor Playground 

All children must be accompanied by an adult, no supervision in provided.

Facility Rentals

The new recreation center has a variety of rooms and amenities available for you to rent for your special event.  Plenty of great space, a vibrant atmosphere and great work staff will compliment and enhance all of your rentals.  Rooms can be rented for seminars, birthday parties, weddings, showers, anniversaries and holidays!  We can accommodate from 25 to 175 people in our facility in a variety of rooms.  In addition to room rentals the Park District also rents out our indoor playground and basketball and volleyball courts.  For more information and to check availability, please feel free to contact us at (708) 352-1762.

Banquet Facility Rental

Our newly renovated banquet room can accommodate up to 175 people.  The room can be laid out in a variety of ways to suit any party, luncheon or seminar.  The room also has a projection screen which can be used for training seminars or workshops and a kitchen is also available as part of the rental opportunity.  The room is rented on a first come, first serve basis and must be rented for a minimum of 2 hours.  A list of caterers in the area is also available or feel free to bring in your own food.  Beer and wine is allowed in the facility, please contact us for more information regarding the rules and regulations with regards to alcohol in the facility. The rates listed below are for residents and non-resident rentals.  Corporate rates are also available, please contact us for more information about using our facility for your corporate event.

Room Rentals and Birthday Party Packages

If your party less than 60 people, then we have a variety of rooms to suit your needs.  Our room rentals can accommodate between 15-60 people and are the perfect space for a child’s birthday party.  In addition to our party rooms, which are adjacent to the indoor playground, we also have rooms that you can rent for small meetings.  For children’s birthday parties you can also have exclusive use of our indoor playground.  The rates listed below are for residents and non-resident rentals.  Corporate rates are also available, please contact us for more information about using our facility for your corporate event.

Rental Rates, per hour

In addition to room rentals, the Park District can help you celebrate your child’s special day with a themed party package. We offer themed parties so that your child can have the party of their dreams! Each party will be two hours and will include structured, theme-related activities, themed goodie bags and birthday cake, present and playground time.  For more information or to book your party, please contact Laura Yednock at 708-352-1762.  Our party themes include Princess, Hawaiian, Sports and Pirates.  Party packages do not include exclusive use of the indoor  playground.

Gymnasium Rental

Our gymnasium features wood floors and three full high school size basketball courts.  Each court can be divided into a half court using our suspended curtains.  In addition to basketball, the gym can also accommodate 4 full volleyball courts.  Rentals of the gymnasium are available when the Park District is not conducting a program of its own on the courts.  There is a minimum two hour rental of all courts, unless you are renting a party room. In the case of a room and court rental the rentals can be combined to reach the two hour minimum.  Corporate and after hour rates are also available, please contact us for more information regarding these types of rentals.

Rental Policy

All rentals are for a minimum of two hours.  A non-refundable $100 deposit is required at the time of booking.  All events must be booked at least 21 days prior to the event and paid in full at least 14 days before the event.  A security deposit of $100 is also required at the time of booking. All rental requests must be made in person at the Park District offices located at 536 East Avenue during normal business hours.  Additional information regarding rental rates, room sizes and availability is available by contacting the office at (708) 352-1762.
