1. RESIDENT REGISTRATION ONLY: Resident registration takes place three times a year and is held at the Administrative Offices located at 536 East Avenue.

Residents can only register their own family during Saturday registration. Residents may not give their registration forms to another person ahead of them in line during Saturday resident registration.

2. NON-RESIDENT REGISTRATION: Individuals residing outside of the Park District boundaries may register at any time, starting at 8:00 a.m. approximately one week after resident registration has begun.

3. FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE: All programs have a minimum and maximum enrollment and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

4. PROGRAM WAITING LISTS: Maximum enrollments for programs ensure quality and safety for you and your children. In the past, we have made every effort to accommodate as many residents as possible without negatively impacting the programs. Waiting lists will be unlimited for most classes. This list will be taken to allow for dropouts and cancellations prior to the start of a program. If you are number one on the waiting list and someone drops out of the program, you will be called and offered the opportunity to take that place in the class. Our deadline for requesting refunds is 5 business days before the start of class. This change helps eliminate last minute decisions regarding program and waiting list status. Thank you for your patience as we strive to serve you better.

5. FALSE INFORMATION/RESIDENT PRIORITY: Persons failing to indicate Non-Resident status or registering Non-Residents, as Park District Residents will be dropped from the program without refund. Park District residents have priority in all district-sponsored activities.

6. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS: Refunds will not be issued after the first class meeting and must be requested no less than five (5) business days before the first class meeting. Prorated refunds will be issued in cases when the Park District receives a written certificate from a physician, or the registrant moves outside of the District boundaries. A $5.00 service charge will be deducted from all refunds over $5.00 except when a medical certificate is presented in writing or the District cancels a program. If the Park District cancels a program, participants will have a choice of full refund, credit or class transfer, if available.

7. NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS: In the event that a program is paid for by check and that check is returned to the District stamped N.S.F, full payment as well as a $20.00 penalty will be required in cash or cashiers check before attendance in a class can continue.

8. FEE CODE: The fee code used in this brochure is as follows:

(R) Resident of Park District of La Grange

(NR) Non-resident

9. PROOF: The Park District of La Grange reserves the right to require proof of residency, age or family relationship if a doubt exists as to the validity of the same.

10. PROOF OF AGE REQUIRED: The Park District of La Grange reserves the right to require proof of age at the time of registration for all participants age 3 and under.

11. PAYMENT/ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION: Upon enrollment into a class you will be issued a receipt showing your payment for the program along with the class date and times and any pertinent information that you may need regarding that program. If you have any questions regarding your receipt or the information contained within it, please call the Park District office at (708) 352-1762.

12. ASSESSMENT FEE DESCRIPTION: You will be assessed a $5 registration fee when signing up for programs. This fee will be charged only once per household per season for registrations of $20 or more. If after your initial registration you decided to enroll in more programs during a season, simply alert us to the fact when you register. This fee allows the Park District to meet its administrative costs without raising fees for every program.

Registration Process

We currently have four ways for you to register for Park District programs: mail-in, online, drop-off or walk-in. You can use the registration form that came with your brochure or you can click on the link below to download this form for printing.

Payment
The park district currently offers three payment options for participants.

Cash: This payment is acceptable for all programs and rentals but only for walk-in registrations. Please do not mail cash payments. You will receive a receipt at the time of registration.

Check: This is our most common form of payment at the District for registrants who walk-in, mail-in or drop-off a registration form. Please make all checks out to the Park District of La Grange; a receipt for your registration will be mailed to you.

Charge Card: The park district accepts Visa and Mastercard. The charge card can be used for all forms of payment. Registrations will be handled at the counter and a receipt for the registration will be given to you.
